BOOKER Prize winner Yann Martell and satirical novelist Tom Sharpe are among headliners for this year's Cheltenham Spring Festival of Literature Spring Weekend.
Both will be discussing their books during the event, which runs from Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6. Martell won the Booker Prize with Life of Pi.
Other authors who will discuss their work are Margaret Macmillan and Alison Weir, while other participants in the weekend will be Pete McCarthy, Jane Lapotaire and Sir Bernard Ingham.
This will be the fourth time the spring festival has been held. Sarah Smyth, director of Cheltenham Festival of Literature 2003, said: "The spring weekend is every bit as exciting and diverse as our ten-day festival in the autumn.
"There is something for literary lovers of all ages."
The Cheltenham Festival of Literature Spring Weekend will be held across six different venues over the three days. Events start from 10am and run until midnight.
